How long will this take?

Currently we are saying 9-12 weeks for PL versions and 7-9 weeks for EF versions. That number may move based on the amount of service on your lenses needed or wanted prior to V35 upgrade.

What if I want to service my lenses before upgrade?

If you would like to service your lenses or perform any work prior to the V35 upgrade taking place, please let us know ahead of time, otherwise if something is wrong with your lens, which would prohibit it from being converted, we will let you know. Service cost will be additional to V35 modifications. In general, to speed up the process, any service work should be done ahead of your placement.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is roughly 1300/lens in EF or PL plus applicable taxes/fees. You will be invoiced and wire instructions sent to international clients. This deposit is NON REFUNDABLE.

How do I know the condition of my lenses?

If one of your lenses has issues that do not meet the threshold of our conversions, we will reach out and let you know. Email us for a breakdown of what to look for.

What if I don’t own a set of CN-E Lenses?

No problem at all. You can reach out to sales at Duclos Lenses to secure a new set.

How close to the K35 lenses is the look?

The CN-E base optics are a very very close relative of the Aspherical FD/K35 lenses of the past. While we can’t ever reproduce a direct 1:1 look, we’ve gone out of our way to match contrast, sharpness, saturation, halation, flares to the best of our ability while keeping the price manageable as well as taking our own approach.

What happens if I can’t make my final payment when the lenses are ready to ship?

If you have paid your deposit and shipped your lenses in and work is completed, you have 15 days from time of completion to pay your remaining balance. We will give ample timelines so you have plenty of time to prepare for final payment. If you still cannot make your final payment, you will forfeit ownership of your lenses to Northwest Camera Co to be sold. So please make your final payments.
